Welcome to Brightside Studios - Newest Natural Light Photography Studio in Dallas

Welcome to the Brightside! We are so excited to introduce the newest natural light photography studio in Dallas! We are nestled in a 1500 square foot renovated industrial building just outside of the Dallas Design District. Our photography studio is flooded with natural light and offers several uniquely styled settings for photographers to create in.

We are excited to join Dallas’ thriving community of creatives and connect with talented creatives. Brightside Studios is not just a studio; it is a versatile space where photographers and creatives can work independently and as well as host and collaborate with others to bring their visions to life.

What are we bringing to the community you ask?

Four different environments melded into one space. At Brightside studios, we offer a traditional blank canvas studio, a lifestyle living room setting, a conference room setting, and a modern kitchenette. Each space was designed to cater to the many needs of photographers and creatives and to offer them several options to work in, in one single versatile space.

The traditional blank canvas space

Paper rolls, C-Stands, lighting equipment, and a large blank white wall –  everything you need to create and control backdrops that suit your needs!

This space is perfect for traditional headshots where you need a clean and simple white backdrop. But, if you’re shooting family portraits and would like to put together a custom lifestyle setting, you can grab one of our colored paper rolls, pull in one of our movable furniture pieces, and add in one of the studio plants to create a scene that fits your vision.

This area is located closest to our large windows and offers you tons of natural light to use. However, if  you are looking to have a little more control over your light, please feel free to use some of the studio LED lighting equipment.

Whether you prefer natural light or studio lighting, a simple white backdrop or a colored backdrop, our studio has got you covered!

Lifestyle Living Room Setting

Our living room setting is designed to be cozy and minimalistic with neutral tones. We’ve added props like books, plants, earth-tone décor and wall art to create an atmosphere that feels just like home. The space is very versatile and is perfect for any shoots that require a more personal touch. From lifestyle product photography to personal branding photography, the living room setting offers a comfortable backdrop.

Our specific choices for furniture and props gives the space an intimate and authentic feel, however, there is still room for you to bring props of your own and cater the space to your specific shoot. Whether you’re looking to showcase your products/services in a domestic setting, or you’re aiming to show a sense of authenticity in a portrait session, our living room setting is the perfect stage for you.

Conference Room Setting

This space was made for creatives who need a professional environment for their shoots. In this section of our studio, you'll find a dry-white erase board, a white modern table, and white chairs. These elements make it the right spot for staged scenes that feature planning and meeting scenarios. Just like our living room setting, the conference room is adaptable and open for you to add your personal touches. If you don't have a shoot that needs a business-type setting, the space is also perfect for you and your team to set up shop and have brainstorming sessions before or during a shoot - with the dry erase board, it'll be easy for you to write down your ideas.

Kitchenette Setting

As you’re reading this blog, my team and I are still working to put the finishing touches on this space. Once completed, it will have modern white cabinets, a subway tile backsplash, beautiful natural wood butcher block countertops, natural wood floating shelves, and a HUGE island (which we’re particularly excited about). The kitchenette provides you with a ton of space for prepping, styling, and shooting, making it a perfect spot for food and product photographers.

Branding, portrait and family photographers will also love the space. The kitchenette can be used as a beautiful kitchen backdrop, perfect for branding photoshoots with clients who may be chefs, or families and couples who are looking to create a fun and unique scene for their family portraits.

THE STUDIO Props

We offer a wide collection of décor props that cater to different aesthetics, themes, and settings. Whether you're looking to add minimalistic and neutral props to your set or bold and colorful ones , we've got you covered. The prop inventory will change and rotate, so make sure you check in with us to see what we currently have available. Some props that will be here to stay are our studio plants: Clara, Constance, Kate, Ivette, and Lady.

It took a lot of love, dedication and hard work to bring Brightside Studios to life, and we’re so excited to share this space with you. We can’t wait to meet all the creatives who will visit our space, and see the work they create.
