At Brightside Studios, we’re always thrilled to be part of the creative community in Dallas, and it's a pleasure to see the diverse and captivating work that artists create in our natural light studio.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Amani Sodiq, a Dallas-based editorial and commercial photographer known for her distinct style that blends emotion, color, and connection. Amani's work often features a harmonious mix of warm and cool tones, and she has a talent for encouraging her subjects to display a wide range of emotions. She enjoys capturing close-up portraits that invite audiences to truly "see" and connect with the people in her images.

For this particular shoot, Denim Fun, Amani decided to focus on a denim theme, aiming for a fun, lively, yet intimate vibe. She noticed that many denim shoots tend to have a serious tone, and she wanted to challenge that by bringing out a more playful and relaxed energy in her models. The result was a series of photos that felt both fresh and deeply personal.

Amani chose our Dallas photo studio for its abundance of natural light and access to studio equipment. She used our studio’s natural light as a fill, and paired it with our studio lighting, using our lantern modifier to achieve her desired effect.

It was a fantastic session, and we’re proud to have provided the space for such a dynamic and expressive shoot.
